This project aims to demonstrate the potential of the Information Society to the university environment and through exposure to the methods and approaches applied, reveal the potential of extending the reach of higher education to all levels and aspects of society in Latin America.
The project therefore targets the society as a whole with Latin American partners in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, in particular students and academics in higher education within the area of Environmental Management and Planning in these countries.
The main activities of the project relate to implementing an Information Society based mechanism that enables the deployment and development of an innovative and multilingual virtual learning environment that provides access to applying appropriate, innovative and varying learning approaches and methods. Appropriate courses will be established and continued education facilities reinforced. The duration is 36 months.
