EMPLENET

Approaching the local administration to the citizen through ICT

logo Emplenet

EMPLENET project is aiming at reducing unemployment in Latin America, one of the most alarming problems of the region. Local Administrations, as the representative entities closest to citizens, know perfectly the needs and demands of society. Thus, Local Administrations will develop strategies to support employment, based on New Information and Communication Technologies in order to reach a higher number of citizens.

European public entities will transfer their wide experience in such methodologies and services. The strategy to support employment will be based on the launching of an advanced service for the unemployed that will consist on: vocational e-training service, access to employment service (vocational guidance, employment database, updated information…) and a supporting service for enterprises set up. The Latin American partners will validate and transfer the experience to other American regions and countries.
