@LIS ISN is aimed at strengthening the impact of the @LIS programme among the communities of users by means of creating, reinforcing and animating the relation between experts, researchers, user groups and policy makers. In order to achieve this goal, @LIS ISN will especially aim at:

• disseminating the results of the @LIS programme, thus contributing to the long term objective of promoting the dialogue and the cooperation between Europe and Latin America on the implementation of the policies concerning the development of the Knowledge Society and the diffusion of innovative practices.
• promoting the creation of partnerships of local actors whose task will be ensuring the sustainability of the cooperation between the Europe and Latin America even after the official end of the @LIS programme.

@LIS ISN aims at maximising the Programme impact through specific support. ISN will create, structure, animate and maintain a link between the relevant stakeholders which will benefit from the demonstration projects activities and outputs, and the EU and LA national and regional policy makers who are in charge of public measures to support the full deployment of Information Society in economy and society. The challenge to be met by the @LIS ISN action is to build up and strengthen a sustainable partnership between Latin America and the European Union by relating networks of stakeholders (national and regional policy makers, local authorities, educational bodies, non-profit organisations, civil society actors), by establishing a knowledge network between the two continents (intensively using the tools and approaches of the Information Society itself).
