In order to promote exchange of experiences, create a favourable regulatory and policy framework for progress in Information Society and establish fruitful long term relations between Europe and
Latin America, an Information Society Policy Forum across the Atlantic has been set up.
The forum has met four times, in Sevilla, Spain in 2002, in Lima, Peru in 2003 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2004 and in Lisbon, Portugal, in April 2006.
